Why does my subscription say Date TBD?
A subscription shows Date TBD instead of a renewal or start date when it has not yet started. A subscription is considered started only after the first invoice is paid. Until then, the merchant subscriptions list shows Date TBD together with the interval name in the Payment Interval column, and the subscription details show Next billing date: Date TBD.
Where Date TBD appears
Before the first payment, you will see Date TBD in these places:
Merchant subscriptions list — the Payment Interval column shows Date TBD together with the interval name (for example, Date TBD - Annually or Date TBD - Every 4 Weeks).
Client portal — subscription details show Date TBD in place of the next billing date.
Subscription update emails — renewal and start dates show Date TBD.
When dates appear normally
Once the client pays the first invoice, the subscription is marked as started and Mallow locks in the billing schedule from that invoice. The merchant subscriptions list then shows the actual next billing date and interval in the Payment Interval column, and the subscription details display the real next billing date. The client portal and subscription emails also update to show the actual values, including the subscription renew date in renewal reminder emails after the subscription has started.
Renewal reminders
Renewal reminder emails are intentionally skipped until the subscription has started. After the first payment, Mallow resumes the normal automated reminder cycle.
