Access stored payment methods
You can find and charge a client’s stored payment method from the Vault or from that client’s profile. Both places use the same Charge this payment method action for active methods.
On mobile, Merchant Hub and Clients tables reflow into stacked cards. Reach the Vault through the Pages drawer in the bottom navigation bar, or open a client profile from the Clients page.
Charge from the Vault
The Vault shows stored payment methods across all your clients, including broader status rows than the client profile.
Go to the Merchant Hub page.
Select the Vault tab.
Open the three-dot menu on the payment method you want to charge.
Select Charge this payment method.
Mallow opens a new invoice prefilled with that client and payment method.
Charge from a client profile
Each client’s Payment Methods on File section shows only active stored methods and pending requests. Only active methods can be charged.
Go to the Clients page.
Select the client you want to charge.
Scroll to Payment Methods on File.
Open the three-dot menu on an active stored payment method.
Select Charge this payment method.
Mallow opens a new invoice prefilled with that client and payment method. Pending rows labeled Pending approval do not include a charge action.
To request, delete, remind, or cancel a payment method, use the same three-dot menus described in Store payment methods on file. Those actions now match between the client profile and the Vault, including confirmation dialogs.
Email notifications for Vault charges
When you charge a stored payment method, Mallow sends a set of transactional emails.
Submitted confirmation
As soon as the charge is submitted, Mallow sends:
A client submitted email to the client, confirming the charge is being processed.
A user submitted email to all company users on your account, notifying them that a charge has been initiated.
Success receipt
Once the charge completes successfully, Mallow sends:
A client success email to the client with a payment receipt.
A user success email to all company users on your account, confirming the payment has settled.
