Manage Guest Customers
A Guest Customer is a non-client who paid you through a Payment Link. They are not added to the standard Clients table; they appear in the Guest Customers tab on the Clients page, where you can archive them, convert them into a standard client, or merge them into an existing client.
Users with read-only access can view the Guest Customers tab but cannot archive, convert, or merge guests.
Find a guest customer
The Guest Customers tab lists everyone created through a Payment Link, alongside the usual Clients tab.
Go to the Clients page in the main navigation.
Open the Guest Customers tab.
Find the guest by browsing the table, or use Search, Filters, Customize, and Export from the shared table toolbar.
Each row shows the guest's name, email, phone, the purchased link, the payment, and the date. Every purchase is its own row, so a guest who paid the same link more than once appears once per purchase.
Archive a guest customer
Archiving hides a guest from your active list without deleting anything, and you can unarchive them later.
On the Guest Customers tab, open the guest's Actions menu.
Choose the archive option.
To bring an archived guest back, switch on the tab's archive toggle to show archived guests, then open the same Actions menu and choose unarchive.
Convert a guest into a client
Convert a guest when they have become a regular customer and you want them in your normal client list. Conversion preserves the guest's record, and the resulting client can be edited like any other client.
On the Guest Customers tab, open the guest's Actions menu.
Choose Convert to new Client.
The guest now appears in the Clients tab as a standard client you can edit like any other.
Merge a guest into an existing client
Merge a guest when they are actually an existing client who paid through a Payment Link. Merging is permanent: the guest's related records transfer to the selected client, and the guest record is deleted. You cannot undo a merge.
On the Guest Customers tab, open the guest's Actions menu.
Choose Merge with existing Client.
Select the client to merge into. Only active standard clients can be selected; archived clients are not available as merge targets.
If the merge does not go through, check that the target client is active and try again.
See a client's Payment Link purchases
Client details show a Payment Links purchase count, so you can see at a glance how a client or converted guest has paid through links. For the full picture of the Clients page, see the Clients dashboard article. To create or manage the links themselves, see Create and manage payment links.
